Mother's Day Card

I decided this would be a Mother's Day card but when I started it I really wasn't sure. The toile background paper was really pretty, which I found at Michael's, and wanted to keep the image simple. So I just went through some cartridges to see what would make a great silhouette. Kate's ABC's turned out perfect. This card could be a sympathy, thinking of you or even an Easter card, there is a similar image with bunnies. I really had fun making this card and plan to make more.
Thanks to Mary at cardcrazy09.blogspot.com
for her wonderful comments about this card. She spoke about it on her coffee and cards segment.

  4. Hi Taty--Thank you! I just made 6 of them last night for Mother's Day so I pretty much have it memorized! The card base is square at 51/2". I used Kate's ABC's, pg. 58 for the black scalloped square- 51/4. the printed mat is 43/4. The girl is on page 52 and She is cut at 3"x 3 and popped up all three layers. I did cut sentiment, about 13/4" not shown. I also finished the inside with a black with white dot mat(51/4) and ivory top mat at 5". I also took the little cat on page 58 and cut him at 1 3/4" and put him in the corner on the inside. Enjoy!
