Valentines Day Squash Book
I made a squash book for my daughter for Valentine's Day. She turned 21 last month and I decided that I wanted to send her more than a card. It took me longer than I wanted and of course I thought of it a little late but it's the thought that counts. Hope she likes it. It got a little more "girly" than I originally was thinking but it's hard to stop with the "bling"!

Father's Day "Shirt" Card
I saw this "origami" shirt made by Mary at Cardcrazy09 and had to make it. (smaller one).
Then I thought, what if it was larger like a card. I could make these all day long. It's so easy. It's folded exactly like the one she did only I used a larger sheet of paper, 8x12.
Open it up and the bottom half is perfect for a 4x5 mat of the same print. You may have to trim a small amount off the edges. Then place a 3 3/4 x 4 3/4 mat on top. The "Tie" is ribbon tied in a loose knot and I slipped the other end through the back. My husband made a Full- Windsor knot for me but I could never replicate it. The sunglasses are from the Paisley Cartridge and I rounded the edges. I think it was cut at 1 1/2" .
I made the "Hawaiian Shirt for the Beach Challenge. I was going to add a beach umbrella to the inside but ran out of time. Had to mail it.

Mother's Day Card
I decided this would be a Mother's Day card but when I started it I really wasn't sure. The toile background paper was really pretty, which I found at Michael's, and wanted to keep the image simple. So I just went through some cartridges to see what would make a great silhouette. Kate's ABC's turned out perfect. This card could be a sympathy, thinking of you or even an Easter card, there is a similar image with bunnies. I really had fun making this card and plan to make more.
